Solar Powered Water Decontamination in Bahia

Working hand in hand with Sustainable Development & Water for All, Full Belly Brasil has provided nineteen solar-powered water decontamination systems (Aqualuzes) to families in Adustina County in the state of Bahia. Access to safe drinking water is a barrier that thousands of families in rural Bahia face every day. We want to help more of them.

Water Filters for Minas Gerais

Full Belly Brasil is working with the Federal University of Ouro Preto to provide water filters that remove heavy metals like arsenic from drinking water in the state of Minas Gerais. Centuries of mining and naturally high levels of heavy metals in the groundwater pose a health threat to communities in the region. Our pilot project of ten filters has proved successful. When funding allows, we would like to roll out a larger project.
